At this year's symposium, Charité 3^R will focus on innovative approaches in three different fields of biomedical research: Neurobiology, Cardiovascular Research and Oncology.

Registration is mandatory as seats are limited. 

Scientists with a suitable topic are cordially invited to present their posters. 3-4 abstracts will be selected for short poster pitches and each poster pitch will be documented with a graphical recording.

CAAT and the PCRM are launching a new workshop series focused on animal-free New Approach Methodologies in biomedical research for early-career researchers. The first two-hour online workshop will focus on Understanding Translatability and Crafting Competitive Grants.

The FC3R will be organising the first ‘Journées Françaises des 3R’ at the École Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort (EnvA). This scientific conference will focus on three main themes: the implementation of 3R sharing tools, replacement and 3R digital approaches.

The aim of the conference is to promote the 3Rs in France, to encourage collaboration and the exchange of knowledge, and to publicise the advances made in the French 3Rs.

In this 90-minute webinar, Dr. David Rouquie and Dr. Jessica Ewald will present on incorporating omics technology in toxicity assessment and drug discovery.

This symposium has the slogan "From Tissue Engineering to Engineered Tissue". An attractive program including internationally renowned speakers, industrial expositions and several opportunities for PhDs and Post-Docs to present their work has been assembled. Additionally, plenty of time will be provided for informal interaction between junior and senior academics and industrial partners. BSTE is an excellent platform for researchers to get acquainted with the current players in the field and to spark new collaborations.

During this webinar session, Dr. Bella Manshian (KU Leuven) will present her work on optimized 3D explants for ex vivo precision cut tissue slices. Then, Nathalie Dirkx (UHasselt) will present her work on human dental pulp stem cells as a patient-in-a-dish model for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1A.

The BelTox annual scientific meeting will be organized together with the Belgian Environmental Mutagen Society (BEMS) on the theme “Novel non-clinical testing strategies for the development of human medicinal products”. The program is already available.

The deadline of the submission of the Young Scientist Competition abstracts and the poster abstracts is the 1st November 2024.
