During this webinar, experts from Pixelgen Technologies and BioLizard will guide you through how spatial omics can deepen your biological understanding by preserving spatial context within molecular analyses. We will present an introduction to the pioneering molecular pixelation method for single cell spatial proteomics, and share insights into analysis of spatial omics data and integration of different omics data types, drawing on real-life case studies.

This event is designed to educate the next generation of scientists committed to advancing science ethically using non-animal methods for research and testing. The program provides an overview of in vitro, in silico, and in chemico approaches and their many applications in basic, translational, and regulatory science to replace animals. Attendees will participate in scientific talks, career development workshops, poster presentations, demonstrations, networking opportunities, etc.

This event will provide junior engineers, early researchers and medical doctors with an integrative view of state-of-the-art research for in silico medicine, following a complete pipeline from basic science and clinical needs, to model application.

The key methodological and technological concepts are enriched by afternoon hands-on sessions that stand for 15,5 hours of transversal training in in silico medicine technologies.

The 22nd International Congress of the European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV 2024) will be  themed 'Application of NAMs in Drug Discovery and Drug and Chemical Safety Assessment'.

The ESTIV congress will start with a pre-congress workshop and will offer 15 scientific sessions, and lunch sessions hosted by industry sponsors and non-profit organisations. More information will follow soon, as the congress program is still developing.

Within this 1st WI3R symposium the German Research Foundation (DFG) will grant the Ursula M. Händel Prize to scientists who have made exemplary and sustained efforts to improve the welfare of animals in research. In particular, this includes the development of methods that contribute to the reduction, refinement and replacement of animal experiments. The €80,000 Ursula M. Händel Animal Welfare Prize is currently the largest prize of its kind in Germany, awarded every two years.

The 3Rs Centre Utrecht and the Transition to Animal-free Innovations are organising  together with TPI-Utrecht and the National Committee for the protection of animals used for scientific purposes, a conference aiming to connect NAMs to the 3Rs framework, exploring the best way forward for human-based biomedical basic and translational science.

The programme of the conference will soon be posted and will consist of presentations and (interactive) panel discussions in multiple thematic sessions.
