Register now for the NAMii Webinar Series
Organised by ZonMw (ZorgOnderzoek Nederland Medische Wetenschappen) and RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment in the Netherlands), this webinar series aims at highlighting NAM information initiatives such as knowledge bases, search engines, infrastructures and other tools that can help you to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your NAM-based research.
The webinar series will kick off in October 2025 and end in March 2026. The webinars are organised on Thursdays from 12:00 to 13:00 CET.
NAMii Webinar #1 | TPI.tv & BATI - 16 October 2025
- TPI.tv helps professionals to share their animal-free innovation with others and connect with experts in this field.
- The Beyond Animal Testing Index provides a transparent, objective and independent benchmark that shows the efforts and accomplishments of public research organisations regarding the transition to animal-free research.
NAMii Webinar #2 | Search4NAMs / 3Ranker & iNoVA Hub - 13 November 2025
- Search4NAMs / 3Ranker are free and fast keyword-independent search engines for finding non-animal alternative methods for use in biomedical research.
- iNoVA Hub is an interactive, web-based platform to navigate through the full landscape of in vivo models and alternatives described in the literature.
NAMii Webinar #3 | NAM Navigator & RE-Place - 11 December 2025
- The NAM Navigator is a knowledge portal that provides accessible information on research & development, standardisation, validation, and regulatory acceptance of NAMs.
- The RE-Place project centralizes and stimulates the development and application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) – innovative methods that contribute to the eventual replacement of laboratory animals.
NAMii Webinar #4 | PeerLogic & VHP4Safety – 15 January 2026
- Peerlogic contains detailed protocols and materials and methods sections for FCS- and BME-cell culturing. It stimulates collaborations and facilitates xeno-free cell culturing methods.
- VHP4Safety facilitates the prediction of harmful effects of chemicals and pharmaceuticals by integrating human physiology, chemical properties, and biological pathway disturbances. VHP represents a major step forward by providing tools based on human data.
NAMii Webinar #5 | VitalTissue & FCS-/BME-free Database - 12 February 2026
- VitalTissue is the infrastructure for the use of vital human residual tissue in scientific research.
- The fetal calf serum (FCS)-free and basement membrane extract (BME)-free databases provide an overview of available FCS and BME alternatives, facilitating researchers to find a suitable (animal-free) alternative for their specific application.
NAMii Webinar #6 | EMRD & Suppo3Rt – 12 March 2026
- The European Medicines Regulatory Database (EMRD) is a free and interactive platform providing real-time information on the regulation of medicines in Europe, supporting research, development and understanding of European pharmaceutical policy.
- Suppo3Rt is a support desk open to anyone who needs expertise on NAMs in the field of (bio)medical research. Whether you are working at an Animal Welfare Body, an Animal Experiment Committee or whether you are a researcher who would like information on new animal-free technologies, but does not know where to start, everyone is welcome.
